Summer Solstice Shawl

$85.00

Even though I knit this shawl over the end of autumn and the first days of winter (and we took photographs on a typically fretful western New York lake effect snow day!) the deep blues put me in the mindset of the lake on a summer afternoon, reflecting the light of the sun and the changing blues of a clear sky. The pattern is evocative of waves rolling onto the shore at Lake Erie.

Treehouse original design with wave lace motif from Knitting Lace Triangles by Evelyn A. Clark.

Knit in Cascade Yarns Heritage 150 Paints sock yarn. 75% merino superwash, 25% nylon. Shawl measures 56” wide by 22” deep at deepest point. Superwash and nylon both claim to be machine washable; I still recommend handwashing only.
